True Motion 100Hz

True Motion can reduce blurring on fast moving scenes by displaying one hundred images per second. Standard TV sets only display fifty images per second. TruMotion carefully analyses the picture signal by using advanced algorithms to automatically calculate a new image frame between each original frame. This technology reduces the perceived response time and the picture dragging (‘smearing’) phenomenon, providing life like details even in fast moving scenes. As LG uses S-IPS panels which offer increased screen quality, TruMotion helps to improve things further, resulting in picture quality that is better than TVs based on VA panels.

Single Layer

Frameless Protection  
Uniquely frameless TV by using a "Single Layer" technology of a seamless sheet of glass, eliminating traditional frames of a display screen. It harmonizes with your sensuous and trend-leading space, giving you ‘seamless viewing experience’.

Intelligent Sensor

LCD TVs have brighter screens which may make your eyes tired, for example when watching TV at night or over extended periods. Also colours on the screen can appear to be distorted by a change of surrounding colour temperature. The Intelligent Sensor uses 4,096 RGB sensing steps to optimise the picture quality, by constantly analysing the brightness and colour temperature of the surrounding area. The RGB sensor optimises the brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness, and white balance – reducing unnecessary brightness. This technology can protect against eyestrain and reduces power consumption up to a maximum of 62%

AV Mode

Cinema Mode
Cinema Mode allows you to enjoy a film as the Director intended, preserving the original colour expression and atmosphere. Cinema Mode balances the image attributes around industry standards such as D65 (white balance) and ITU-BT7091 (colour), as some image quality processing functions can alter how the original film is displayed.

Sport Mode
Sports Mode makes watching sport feel more exciting by emphasizing the vivid primary colours (e.g. greener grass, bluer sky, etc) and optimizing the TV to display fast moving images with no judder or motion blur.

Game Mode
Game Mode optimises the TV for computer games, for a more dynamic gaming experience. By constantly calculating image quality rate, game mode increases dark expression and provides a clearer image. This is essential due to the games-player's typically high concentration and short-watching distance. Sound quality is adjusted simultaneously, completing the dynamic experience.

Invisible Speaker

Wide Sweet Spot. The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker system, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the 'sweet spot' to give a wider and richer sound field. The new User Friendly Interface is an upgraded, intuitive and friendly menu system, laying the icons out in a grid system. The icons are larger and brighter, making the menu easier to navigate and find what you need. There is also a Quick Menu feature, containing the most important, frequently-used options. E-Con is user-friendly and ergonomically designed remote control, which combines functions onto single keys to minimise the number of buttons, for the consumer's convenience. Clear Voice

Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear human voices over the background sounds of their environment, due to the down-mixing that occurs to push 5.1 surround-sound through a TV's 2 channel speaker system. The Clear Voice feature alters the sound balance to emphasise human voices and reducing the background noise All input source (RF/AV/Component/HDMI) as well as Stereo and Mono broadcast can be controlled by Clear Voice. Expert Mode

USB

The LG TVs which offer a USB connection now use an upgraded USB terminal, upgraded from 1.1 to 2.0. This offers faster and easier access to multimedia – USB 2.0 is 40 times faster than USB 1.1, with a transfer speed of 480Mb per second. USB 2.0 is also a very compatible interface that helps you to connect various types of memory cards through a memory card reader. PnP (Plug and Play) feature allows easy-use of digital cameras, camcorders and MP3 players – plug in the device and the music and picture contents are automatically accessible. The hot plug system also allows you to disconnect any device even while TV is turned on. Now you can enjoy multimedia music and picture on your TV.

HDMI

HDMI™ (V.1.3 with Deep Colour) supports 30-bit, 36-bit and 48-bit (RGB or YCbCr) colour depths. Previous versions of the HDMI specification only supported 24-bit colour depth.

• Eliminates on-screen colour banding, for smooth tonal transitions and subtle gradations between colours
• Enables increased contrast ratio
• Can represent many times more shades of gray between black and white. At 30-bit pixel depth, four times more shades of gray would be the minimum, and the typical improvement would be eight times or more.

Simplink

The problem of too many remote controls is symptomatic of modern times – there are so many different AV devices to connect (Blu-ray Player, DVD Player, Home Theatre System, etc.) and each comes with its own device. LG’s SIMPLINK system can control all the connected AV devices with one remote control. By pressing the SIMPLINK remote control key, you can switch on and control all devices connected by HDMI. When the TV is switched off, all connected AV devices are automatically switched off as well.
